| Sunrise today |
Justin: I am sorry. I need to be more sensitive and discreet.
Long walk today. 28 km; about 17 miles.
Lea and I started out at 5:30 am. It was dark and cold. I could see my breath. We walked in silence for an hour and a half to Hornillos. No food there. We stopped briefly for water and to allow me to tape some lambs wool on the ball of my right foot.
We continued a ways to Hontanas. We found a cafe there for breakfast. Michele from Florida was there; a ling lost friend. So happy to see her. We had our breakfast and Lea rolled and smoked a cigarette. She is an angel with one bad habit.
All of our Canadian friends arrived: Kim and Judy from Newfoundland and Joanne and Kevin from British Columbia.
We all set out together.
A merry bunch. Six miles to Castrojeriz. I reached my Albergue. Lea had to keep walking to find a bed at the municipal Albergue.Inside, here was Justin. Happy as a clam. I checked in and found my bunk #32. The hospitalero took pity on me and gave me a lower bunk. As I struggled with the paper sheets, Justin chatted up a beautiful young Dutch woman. You go Justin! He was happy and outgoing. Maybe I worried about him for no reason.
I showered and washed my clothes. In the courtyard, there were the doctors from San Francisco (hereinafter TDFSF). Chuck bought me a beer.
A bunch of us sat around a table drinking beer, eating appetizers and shooting the breeze. Great afternoon! I got a little drunk. I am taking a siesta and writing this.
The hospitalero’s wife is Korean. We are all having Korean food for dinner here. Michele and Lea are coming over.
Love,
the bear
PS: thanks for the comments “Justin”

I'm glad you learned a lesson and also saw that I am very good with the ladies.
